Wharerangi is close to the shores of beautiful Lake Taupo. You can walk down in just a few minutes or use your mobility scooter to enjoy the view, feed the ducks or experience the many local events held in Taupo.

Wharerangi is also the closest facility to Taupo’s town centre – a five-minute walk on flat footpaths gets you to the shops.

We promote a friendly, positive atmosphere and encourage the involvement of family members, which helps to keep our residents happy and connected. Our friendly onsite Activities Coordinator makes sure there’s always something interesting to do.

There’s a Registered Nurse on site 24/7 and residents have access to a podiatrist, a physiotherapist and a massage therapist. Our staff are multicultural and many of them have been with us for 10 to 20 years. You can trust them to provide the best personal care possible.

With a focus on good nutrition and tasty favourites, our wonderful onsite kitchen provides healthy, well-prepared meals. Seasonal menus with exciting daily choices are prepared by a qualified dietitian. We also cater for those with special dietary requirements.
