Karetu House is owned by Jo Macfarlane of Heritage Healthcare Limited who also owns Tui House in Papakura. Liz Swift is the manager at Karetu House and has been here from the day it opened in 2006. Between them they have too many years experience in Rest Home management to mention.

Karetu is a mostly male orientated facility with a focus on total wellbeing and everything being as normal as if it was your own home. 

Residents enjoy a fantastic range of activities ranging from partys and BBQs to fishing trips and burger outings all organised by our fabulous Qualified Diversional Therapist/Activities Co-Ordinator - Kelli Wilson.

Our great Nursing Team has many years of experience in the industry.

Our GP has been with us for over 20 years in our previous facilities and knows our people really well.

There are great links with the community with all sorts of good folk calling in for various fun and action.

We are very inclusive to everyone from all walks of life and staff work to create a real sense of 'family' in the home.

The atmosphere is fun and relaxed.
