Edenvale has been a part of the Mt Eden community since its establishment in 1968. It is run by a non-profit Trust Board, affiliated to the Open Brethren Church, and is dedicated to providing comfort and care to its elderly residents.
Edenvale Home is set back from a tree-lined street in central Auckland’s residential suburb of Mt Eden. Level grounds encompass mature landscaped gardens, concrete pathways and sheltered, restful courtyards. It is situated within easy walking distances of shops, public transport, library, churches and other community services.
Edenvale has 29 swing Rest Home & Hospital beds. Apart from 3 specialised rooms, all rooms in the rest home and hospital have their own en-suites.
Our small and homely dementia unit is a peaceful environment which supports person centered care. This safe and homely unit encourages the building of relationships between residents and our qualified staff.
Fully trained staff provide high quality care for people with high level health and care needs. We provide excellent in-house medical services, with prompt attention for those with changing health status and regular reviews for those whose health remains more stable.
A stimulating social programme is available for residents' participation. Weekly concerts are provided by visiting artists. Garden beds are maintained by avid gardeners who provide many key ingredients for the chef's home made and varied menu.
Regular family meetings ensure that families and residents are involved in all stages of care planning.
We would love to show you our special home.
